Where the cuts are made
We cut at the branch collar, the swollen ring where a limb meets the trunk, to help the tree compartmentalise the wound. Flush cuts and long stubs can allow decay.
Hurricane-season pruning
Before hurricane season, remove deadwood and assess overextended limbs and roof clearance while retaining sound canopy structure.

Deadwood removal and reduction cuts
