We're one of the crews on this list, so the order below comes from Google's own numbers and not from us. On October 24, 2026 we pulled the Google Maps results for "tree service hernando fl" with the search set to Hernando, Florida, and sorted them by star rating and then by how many reviews sit behind that rating. Broadway Tree Care came out sixth. If you're here for a quote rather than a list, our page on tree service in Hernando has what you need.
How the list was built
- The search: "tree service hernando fl" on Google Maps, location set to Hernando, Florida, read through the DataForSEO API at 02:38 UTC on October 24, 2026. It returned 40 listings.
- Who counted: listings Google categorizes as "Tree service" with at least 10 reviews, which left 27 of the 40. A 5.0 from two or three reviews can be one good week, so we set the floor at 10.
- The order: rating first, then review count. Where both matched, the listing Google showed higher went first.
- Nobody was added or dropped by hand. Beyond those two numbers the list says nothing about anyone's prices or workmanship.
Ratings and review counts change every week, so treat this as a snapshot of that morning.
The 7, in order
1. Griffin's Tree Care LLC
5.0 stars from 304 Google reviews, the biggest review count anywhere in the read. Service-area listing with no street address shown. Google placed it 22nd for this search.
2. Budget Tree Service LLC
5.0 from 99 reviews, no street address shown, 20th in Google's order. A second listing under the same name, with an Inverness address, showed 3.7 from 3 reviews and fell under the 10-review floor.
3. A-T Solutions, LLC
5.0 from 61 reviews, no street address shown, 29th in Google's order. Google also files it under construction company, contractor and demolition contractor.
4. Titan Tree Service
5.0 from 36 reviews. The listing shows an address on West Gulf to Lake Highway in Lecanto, and it was 15th in Google's order.
5. Thomas & Sons Tree & Landworx LLC
5.0 from 35 reviews, no street address shown. It sat 10th in Google's order, the highest of the seven.
6. Broadway Tree Care
That's us: 5.0 from 35 reviews, 23rd in Google's order. We're a service-area business, so there's no address on the listing. Devin Broadway started the company in 2024, we're based in Inverness and we run a crew of 3 to 4.
7. Cody's Tree and Debris LLC
5.0 from 35 reviews, no street address shown, 31st in Google's order. It tied us on both numbers, and Google's order broke the tie.
Who missed the cut, and why that matters
All seven above carry a perfect 5.0, so sorting by rating first pushed some much bigger review totals down the list. A to Z Tree Service of Citrus County showed 4.9 from 205 reviews with a Hernando address, and Google put it second for this search. JLH Tree Service of Citrus showed 4.9 from 133, and Southern Tree Service 4.8 from 138. Down To Earth Tree Service in Inverness was eighth on our sort at 5.0 from 25.
Sort the same 27 listings by review count and Broadway drops well out of the top seven.

What the stars won't tell you
A review page doesn't show insurance. Ask any crew for a certificate before they start. Ours is general liability.
It doesn't settle permits either. Hernando is a census-designated place, disincorporated in the 1970s according to its Wikipedia entry, so there's no town hall and the tree rules come from Citrus County. Our Citrus County tree permit guide covers the county side. Florida statute 163.045 adds a path for a single-family home: if the owner has an on-site risk assessment, signed by an ISA-certified arborist or a Florida licensed landscape architect, showing the tree poses an unacceptable risk, a local government can't require a permit, a fee or replanting to remove it.
